Aims & Scope

The Research Journal of Agricultural Sciences: An International Journal is committed to publishing high-quality scientific research that contributes significantly to the advancement of agricultural knowledge and its allied disciplines. Published by the Center for Advanced Research in Agricultural Sciences, the journal provides a global platform for researchers, academicians, and professionals to disseminate innovative findings and critical analyses related to agricultural development, crop improvement, and sustainable resource management. The primary aim of the journal is to promote the publication of original research articles, short communications, and critical review papers that present experimentally validated data and meaningful scientific insights. Emphasis is placed on manuscripts that demonstrate strong scientific methodology, originality, analytical depth, and relevance to contemporary challenges in agricultural sciences. The journal seeks to encourage interdisciplinary research and the integration of modern scientific approaches to enhance agricultural productivity, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. The journal particularly focuses on research related to crop science and associated biological disciplines, encompassing both fundamental (basic) and applied research. Studies that contribute to the understanding of plant growth, crop productivity, genetic improvement, soil–plant interactions, and biological processes influencing agricultural systems are highly encouraged. By facilitating the dissemination of reliable scientific information, the journal aims to support the development of innovative agricultural technologies and sustainable farming practices that address global food security and environmental concerns. The scope of the journal broadly includes, but is not limited to, the following subject areas:
1. Agricultural and Biological Sciences (All) The journal welcomes research covering all aspects of agricultural and biological sciences that contribute to improved crop production and sustainable agricultural systems. This includes agronomy, horticulture, soil science, crop physiology, plant pathology, entomology, agroecology, agricultural biotechnology, seed science, post-harvest technology, and sustainable farming practices. Studies related to ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation in agricultural landscapes, and climate-resilient agricultural systems are also within the scope of the journal. 2. Biochemistry Research focusing on biochemical processes in plants and agricultural organisms is an important component of the journal’s scope. This includes studies on plant metabolism, enzymatic activities, biochemical responses to environmental stress, nutrient metabolism, and biochemical mechanisms underlying plant growth, development, and resistance to pests and diseases. Investigations into plant secondary metabolites, bioactive compounds, and their role in crop quality and productivity are also encouraged. 3. Genetics and Molecular Biology (All) The journal encourages submissions that explore genetic and molecular aspects of agricultural organisms. This includes research on plant genetics, molecular breeding, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, gene expression, and molecular mechanisms regulating plant traits. Studies employing modern molecular tools such as marker-assisted selection, genome editing, and functional genomics for crop improvement and stress tolerance are particularly welcome. In addition to these core areas, the journal supports interdisciplinary studies that integrate biological sciences with modern agricultural technologies, including biotechnology, bioinformatics, and molecular diagnostics. Research that provides practical applications for improving crop productivity, quality, and resilience in diverse agro-ecological environments is particularly valued. Through its comprehensive scope, the Research Journal of Agricultural Sciences aims to serve as a reliable source of scholarly knowledge, fostering collaboration among scientists worldwide and contributing to the development of innovative strategies for sustainable agricultural growth and global food security.
